My Kayak My kayak is an Ocean Kayaks Scrambler. It is 11'2"/3.4m long, 28"/71cm wide, weighs 45lbs/20.4kg and can carry a maximum load of 275-325lbs/125-150kg.
This model has a very large well in the back which is more than adequate for holding my dive cylinder aswell as a spacious bow for my kit bag with fins, mask etc, and a spacious cockpit area to paddle and kit up in. Stern tank well

It also has a very sleek shape to the hull which helps to glide through the water and gives almost effortless paddling, allowing for longer trips out to the dive site. Although I have found this to also make it a little unstable when there is little weight in it.

My dive and kayak buddy Dan bolt has the Ocean kayaks Scrambler XT. Visit his site to read about his experience and modifications he has made to it. Dive Torbay |
